IGP Dr. Usman Anwar spent a busy sunday with several official engagements, presides over an important meeting at the Central Police Office

 

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar spent a busy day in official engagements on Sunday. IG Punjab chaired the important meeting at Central Police Office, Additional IG Investigation, all RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, , DIG Operations Lahore participated through video link. During the meeting, important matters including Police khidmat Centers, Police Women Council, Special Initiative Police Station, repatriation of illegal foreign nationals were reviewed.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to increase the capacity of Special Investigation Unit (SSOIU) staff for effective handoing of sexual crimes. IGP Punjab directed to ensure the training of all 115 notified officers of SSOIU units across Punjab.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while ordering immediate measures for prevention of gender crimes and effective investigation, said that the police should continue to provide full support and guidance to transgenders, children, women and elderly victims of abuse, exploitation and violence from the platform of Tahaffuz centers. IG Punjab directed that it is the responsibility of the DPOs to complete the transfer of the police stations to the Special Initiative Police Station protocol within the time line, which should be completed within the stipulated time. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the performance of Rawalpindi and Faisalabad regarding the process of evacuation of illegal foreign nationals. IG Punjab hinted to take strict action against those responsible for not registering FIR on E-tag applications of citizens and said that all supervisory officers himself monitor the redressal and feedback mechanism for applications sent from RPO, DPOs 1787 Complaint Center.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the process of driving licensing at police service centers has been made online, police is providing facilities at the front desk of police stations from today's evening.Dr. Usman Anwar directed the RPOs, DPOs that the police officers should hold online open courts to address the issues of the citizens. Additional IG Welfare and Finance, Additional IG Punjab, Additional IG IAB, DIG Operations Punjab, AIG Gender Crime, AIG Admin were present in the meeting.
