LAHORE: Organised Crime Unit (OCU) arrested three members of a dacoit gang involved in depriving a Sikh family of valuables. SP Organised Crime Unit (OCU) South Aftab Phularwan while speaking to journalists at OCU Model Town said that the arrested suspects were identified as Shahrukh, Rehana Shahrukh and Irfan. He said that the arrested suspects were foreign nationals. They would conduct snatching bids with Sikh yatrees and inform a hostile agency to defame Pakistan. A uniform of a government institution was also recovered from their custody.
Meanwhile, the Indian Sikh family met with Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman at the Civil Secretariat and IGP Tuesday and thanked the Punjab government for arresting the accused and recovering the loot. The CS ensured them that such an unpleasant incident would not happen in future. DIG Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi said that the Punjab police arrested them from Karachi within four days with the help of PSCA and private CCTV cameras.
