Police Station Diaries: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with DPO Chiniot Abdullah Ahmed and his team.

DPO Chiniot Abdullah Ahmed gave a briefing about the performance of the district police Chiniot under Police Station Diaries.

During the last four months, Chiniot police recovered more than 60 million worth of stolen property from robbers and criminals and returned it to the owners' citizens.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar held a meeting with DPO Chiniot Abdullah Ahmad and his team at Central Police Office Lahore in reference to police station diaries. DPO Chiniot Abdullah Ahmed gave a briefing about the performance of the district police Chiniot during his deployment.District Police Officer Chiniot, while giving a briefing on the performance of Chiniot Police, said that during the last four months, the police recovered more than 60 million worth of stolen goods from robbers and criminals and returned it to the original owners. 167 cases were registered against illegal weapons, 167 suspects were arrested, 5 Kalashnikovs, 26 guns, 09 rifles and 116 pistols were recovered. Similarly, Chiniot police traced 5 blind murders, arrested criminal of 23 murder incidents and sent them to judicial custody while arrested 664 proclaimed offenders. 38 culprits of 14 dacoit gangs were arrested and stolen goods worth more than 10 million rupees were recovered. Chiniot police recovered 145 kg of charas, 15267 liters of alcohol and liquor in a crackdown against drugs. In the crackdown against electricity theft, 494 cases were registered and the accused were arrested. DPO Chiniot during the briefing said that 69 police officers and officials of different ranks were promoted to upper ranks. Organized Crime Unit traced 30 suspects in 55 different cases and recovered stolen property worth 5 million, while finding 8 missing children were traced and handing them over to their parents. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the Chiniot Police for successfully tracing cases of robbery, murder and other serious cases and said that modern technology should be effectively used to protect the life and property of citizens and prevent crimes. IGP said that public service delivery should be made more easier for the citizens with a more effective strategy.
