Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar was met by a delegation of doctors led by Chairman Young Doctors Association Dr. Mudassar Nawaz at the Central Police Office. Chairman YDA Services Hospital Dr. Mahmoodul Hasan, President Pakistan Medical Association Gujarat Dr. Maqsood Zahid, General Secretary YDA Gujarat Dr. Adeel, former Chairman YDA Punjab Dr. Saud Afzal and former President YDA Gujarat Dr. Ehtesham were part of the delegation. During the meeting, CPO Gujranwala Muhammad Ayaz Saleem and other senior officers participated through video link.The delegation discussed with IG Punjab, about the investigation of Dr. Zeeshan Anwar, who was killed in Gujarat two weeks ago. CPO Gujranwala Muhammad Ayaz Saleem informed the IG Punjab and the delegation of doctors about the progress in the investigation of the murder of the deceased Dr. Zeeshan Anwar.
CPO Gujranwala Muhammad Ayaz Saleem said that with the help of CCTV cameras, geo-fencing and other evidence, the accused will be arrested soon. Muhammad Ayaz Saleem said that CIA Gujranwala has also been given the task of arresting the murderer of Dr. Zeeshan Anwar, actual reasons and motives of the murder are being determined by taking into account various aspects. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the CPO Gujranwala and DPO Gujarat to arrest the accused as soon as possible and bring them to justice.IG Punjab directed that CPO Gujranwala should personally supervise this high-profile case ,provide justice to the family of Dr. Zeeshan Anwar as soon as possible and resolved the concerns of doctor community. Moreover Pakistan Medical Association delegation led by President Lahore Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nizami arrived at the Central Police Office, officials present in the delegation had a meeting with IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar.
The delegation was informed about the latest progress in the arrest of the murderers of the deceased Dr. Zeeshan Anwar. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar assured the delegation that the culprits would be arrested as soon as possible. The Pakistan Medical Association delegation emphasized the need for preventive measures including side mirror, chain cover to prevent motorcycle accidents. Doctors included in the delegation said that accidents can be reduced by necessary changes during motorcycle manufacturing. During the meeting, the need to make coordination between the police department and NADRA more effective regarding the identification of abandoned patients was emphasized.Vice President PMA Punjab Dr. Salman Kazmi, Dr. Humera and Dr. Iram Shahzadi and other doctors were included in the delegation of Pakistan Medical Association. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, DIG Operations Waqas Nazir, PSO Sahibzada Bilal Umar and AIG Legal Asif Ali Shaikh and other officers were present in the meeting.
