LAHORE: The Rahim Yar Khan police have reportedly rescued two people from dangerous criminals from Katcha Sindh, the police say. Armed criminals from Katcha Sindh kidnapped Sonay Khan and his son Mumtaz while they were en route to their home village, Bhapar, on a tractor from Mureed Shakh Sindh workshop. The criminals, allegedly linked to the Kacha region, were taking them towards Reni canal in Sindh, near Basti Saeed Abbasi, bordering Sindh. Upon receiving information, the Kot Sabzal police station team, led by ASP Bangal Khan Bugti, responded with elite teams and armored vehicles.
The police rescued the two hostages through timely action while the criminals managed to escape towards Raini canal Sindh, taking the cover of fields of crop harvest and the cover of darkness during the police chase. The police continued the search operation in the area. Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar said that the police were on alert at all times to protect the lives and property of the people. He said directed that the intelligence-based operations should be continued to eliminate the criminal elements and ensure complete elimination of the criminals involved in organized crime.
