Lahore: According to the sources of Daily Notable, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with the DSP Mohammad Umar Farooq at Central Police Office. Two years ago, DSP Umar Farooq was seriously injured in a demonstration by angry protesters in Lahore. Appreciating the recognition, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also awarded Ghazi Medal to DSP Muhammad Umar Farooq. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the name of DSP Muhammad Umar Farooq has been engraved on the Ghazi Wall of Punjab Police. IGP said the officer and officials who got injured in the line of duty are valuable asset of department, and encouragement of these brave officers and personnel will be continued at all levels. Dr. Usman Anwar said the all cooperation will be ensured for best health welfare and quick rehabilitation of the Ghazi police officers and officials.
