This year, the total number of fugitives arrested from foreign countries has increased to 134, said the spokesman of Punjab Police

Sadaqat Ali, wanted for many years in the kidnapping case, was arrested from the United Arab Emirates.

Qaiser Altaf, Muhammad Younas and Ejaz Khan, three wanted criminals in various incidents of murder, are among the arrested.

On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police's crackdown against dangerous proclaimed offenders and fugitives is continued, and in this regard, four dangerous criminals involved in the cases of murder and kidnapping have been arrested and returned to the country from UAE. IG Punjab said that total number of fugitives and proclaimed offenders arrested from foreign countries this year has reached 134. These accused have been arrested and brought back home from other countries including America, United Kingdom, South Africa, Europe, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

According to the details, Sadaqat Ali, wanted A-category dangerous fugitive for many years involved in the kidnapping case, has been arrested from the United Arab Emirates. In 2019, Sadaqat Ali kidnapped three children and escaped to the United Arab Emirates. Punjab Police has issued a red notice from Interpol, continuously followed up with the UAE government to arrest the accused. UAE Police finally arrested the accused and handed him over to Pakistan. Three children have also returned to Pakistan along with Sadaqat Ali, the Punjab Police has issued yellow notices for the return of the children from the Interpol. Similarly other three arrested criminals were Qaiser Altaf, Mohammad Younas and Ejaz Khan. Accused Ejaz Khan fled to Dubai after committing the murder in Gujarat, Wheeas Qaiser Altaf and Muhammad Younas were wanted by Rajanpur police in different cases of murders. For arrest of both Punjab Police issued red notices from Interpol and continued to pursue them for arrest, finally the Punjab Police team reached the Sialkot Airport last night after arresting and extraditing the three fugitives. At the airport, all the proclaimed offenders were handed over to the police of the respective districts.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the Special Operation Cell Gujranwala team and other teams for the arrest of A category dangerous criminals. IGP said that the criminals should be severely punished by completing the legal procedures soon. IG Punjab further said that the crackdown against dangerous proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes should be intensified and information sharing should be done regularly with FIA, Interpol and other law enforcement agencies. IG Punjab directed that the RPOs, DPOs should supervise the crackdown against dangerous criminals who are absconding abroad and the crackdown should be made more effective with effective supervision for more arrests in this regard.
