On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, regular steps are being taken for the health welfare of the police force and their families, in continuation of which, IG Punjab has released 10 lakh rupees to the officials of different districts for medical expenses.
According to the details, Rs. 05 lakh was given to Mianwali constable Aziz Ulah Khan, Constable Nadeem Akhtar was given Rs.02 lakh for medical expenses. ASI Muhammad Rafiq was given Rs.01 lakh for treatment. Injured constable Muhammad Irfan and Ghazi Muhammad Ilyas of Sialkot were also given one lakh rupees each for treatment.
On the direction of IG Punjab, the Compensation Award Committee approved the release of funds under the supervision of Additional IG Finance Mohammad Riaz Nazir Gara.DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, DIG Establishment Dr. Inam Waheed Khan and DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar participated in the meeting as members. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while ordering to continue regular measures for the welfare of the force, especially the constables, said that every police employee suffering from health problems is being taken care of very well. IG Punjab further said that quick rehabilitation of Ghazi personnel is the first priority and the department will ensure all possible cooperation in this regard.
