More funds issued for the construction of houses, more plots will be provided to the remaining families of martyred policemen.
A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to distribute cheques to the families of 10 more martyrs of before 2017 for the construction of houses.
130 lakhs rupees have been given in installments to the families of the martyrs for the construction of houses, IG Punjab.
Under the supervision of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the mission of providing houses to all the families of police martyrs of before 2017 is fulfilling rapidly, in continuation of which a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to distribute cheques to the families of 10 more martyrs, who embraced martyrdom before 2017 for the construction of houses. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar distributed cheques to the families of the police martyrs. According to the details, 05 lakhs rupees were given to the families of head constables Ghulam Murtaza and Nazir Ahmad of Lahore Police, Khalid Mehmood of Rawalpindi police. Families of Saeed Ahmed Shaheed of Khanewal, Ahsanullah Shaheed of Okara, Muhammad Safdar Khan Shaheed of Jhelum were given Rs.05 lakh each. The families of Riaz Hussain of Multan, Khursheed Ahmed, Amjad Khan of Sialkot and Muhammad Amjad Shaheed of Gujarat were given Rs.05 lakh each.
IG Punjab said that, 01 crore 30 lakh rupees have been given to the families of the martyrs of before of 2017 for the construction of houses in installments. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that plots have been arranged for the families of 530 police martyrs of before 2017. The families of 323 martyrs have received the ownership papers of the plots while more 203 will receive very soon. IG Punjab said that being the chief of police department, provision of best welfare facilities to the families of the martyrs is one of my top priorities and in this regard, all possible steps will be ensured effectively utilizing all resources including police endowment fund. Additional IG Finance and Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, DIG Welfare Ghazi Salahuddin and AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal also participated in the event.
