Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that young police officers should properly adapt themselves to the requirements of challenges of the field policing during deployment and carry out operational, investigative and administrative affairs in the districts of deployment with leadership qualities. IG Punjab directed to get full awareness about the staff posted at police stations, police posts, checkpoints and police khidmat marakaz, listened to the problems of the citizens, spare no effort to deliver timely justice. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that young officers should pay special attention to investigation matters,got recognition of professionaly sound and expert officers. He stressed to give special focus on community policing initiatives and enhanced the public awareness about police services delivery with effective supervision. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of newly appointed SDPOs during a video link meeting at the Central Police Office today. IG Punjab reviewed the performance of ASPs on field duty as SDPOs.
An important meeting of the newly appointed SDPOs was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, in which MD Safe City Authority Ahsan Younis, DIG Operations Lahore Ali Nasir Rizvi, SSP Operations Lahore Ali Raza, AIG Admin Amara Athar were present, while RPOs, CPOs, DPOs participated through video link. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar inquired about the performance and problems of ASPs posted in various districts including Lahore. IG Punjab said to give preference to difficult postings at the beginning of career so that in the light of field experiences, one can better prepare oneself for the upcoming challenges of the career. IG Punjab directed to ensure effective use of modern technology and improve public service delivery through effective supervision.
