TAXILA: A man was taken into custody on Sunday for trying to commit blasphemy and some copies of the Holy Quran were recovered from his possession, police said. Investigators said the suspect had been allegedly desecrating copies of the Holy Quran near a worship place for the last three days. On Friday, police had registered a case of desecration against unidentified persons. When the suspect came again at the worship place in the Mohra Shah Wali Shah locality on Sunday morning and tried to desecrate a copy of the Holy Quran, the area people captured him and handed over him to the police, who have started an investigation.
