Police arrest suspect who beheaded boy after rape

KASUR: Phoolnagar Sadar police claimed to have arrest the suspect who allegedly kidnapped a 13-year-old boy a fortnight ago, raped him and then beheaded the child at Dina Nath village. According to the first information report (FIR), the boy ‘A’, who worked at a tailor’s shop in the village on daily wages, went to his workplace on Oct 20, but did not return home. After looking for the boy on their own and failing to find him, his family reported the matter to Phoolnagar Sadar police. The police registered the case, but could not trace the boy. Three days later, an unidentified beheaded body was found in the fields at the village, which was identified as that of the missing boy. During investigations, the police detained a man on suspicion, who turned out to be the alleged rapist and killer of the boy. The police say they solved the case with the help of cellular data of the suspect, who had filmed the boy’s rape with his mobile phone camera. Though the suspect had deleted the video, the police recovered the data and revealed the henious crime committed by the suspect.

GANG BUSTED: Phoolnagar city police claimed to have smashed a three-member gang of bike lifters and recovered 12 motorcycles and Rs300,000 cash from the suspects on Sunday. Police say thy arrested three suspects -- Waqas, Ishtiaq and Abubakar -- recovering 12 bikes stolen by them from Phoolnagar and its surrounding area, besides Rs0.3 million. Further investigation was underway.
