Dr. Usman Anwar handed over the new vehicles to PHP in a ceremony held at the Central Police Office.
New vehicles have been provided to 37 PHP posts in Faisalabad region and 13 PHP posts in Gujranwala region. IG Punjab

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has provided 50 new vehicles to Punjab Highway Patrol for highway patrolling and other departmental duties. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar handed over the new vehicles to the in-charges of PHP posts in a ceremony held at the Central Police Office. Additional IG Rao Abdul Karim, DIG PHP Dr Muhammad Athar Waheed, SP Headquarters Mansoor Qamar and other officers were also present on the spot.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that new vehicles have been provided to 37 PHP posts in Faisalabad region and 13 PHP posts in Gujranwala region. Equipped with latest patrolling facilities, these vehicles will further improve the field patrolling and professional affairs in both regions. IG Punjab said that field patrolling will improve and measures of anti-crime will be accelerated. He said that priority measures are being taken to provide modern resources, best training facilities to the police force and the benefits of these measures are reaching to the citizens in the form of better public service delivery and crime control. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while instructing the Additional IGP PHP said that to ensure more effective measures to prevent highway crime on the roads.IGP said that in the season of smog and fog, PHP personnel should perform their duties of serving and protecting the citizens on the roads with more diligence and professionalism.
