IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar pinned new ranks to 50 promoted ASIs of Lahore Police.
Among those promoted are 28 ASIs of Operation Wing, 13 of Investigation and 04 of Elite Force.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that according to merit and seniority departmental promotion is the right of every officer and official, which is being provided to the force without delay at every rank in all the districts of the province. IG Punjab said that all the officers and officials who got departmental promotion should transfer the benefit of their promotion to the citizens in the form of better performance than earlier. Dr. Usman Anwar said that intelligence-based operations should be accelerated against criminal elements in all districts. All possible help, support, social security should be provided to women, children and other vulnerable sections. IG Punjab said that under community policing, the best services should be provided to the citizens with high morale and crackdown on robbers, drug peddlers and criminals involved in organized crime should be expedited in all districts along with eradication of crime. He expressed these views while addressing the officers of Lahore Police who were promoted as ASI in a function held at the Central Police Office today.
A ceremony was held in the honor of the officers who were promoted from Head Constable to ASI at the Central Police Office, in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar pinned the ranks of 50 promoted ASIs of Lahore Police. Among those transferred are 28 from Operation Wing, 13 from Investigation and 04 from Elite Force, 02 from CCPO Office, 01 from City Traffic Police Lahore, 01 from CIA and 01 ASI posted in National Highway Authority. Children, families and relatives of the promoted ASIs specially attended the ceremony. IG Punjab congratulated the promoted ASIs, directed them to perform their duties more diligently. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, DIG Operations Lahore Ali Nasir Rizvi, AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah and other officers were also present on this occasion.
