DERA GHAZI KHAN: Police claimed to have arrested four members of the Lund Gang active in Bangla Icha area of Rujhan Mazari in district Rajanpur. According to details, several successful intelligence-based raids were carried out by police against the gangs at Bangla Icha of the Katcha area. The Elite Police and district police along with armored vehicles took part in the operation against the gang, raided its hideouts and arrested four gangsters. The suspects were identified as Bhura, Abdullah, Asif and Faisal. Police said they were wanted by police of Rajanpur and other districts in the cases of kidnap-for-ransom, murder and robbery. Illegal arms, including Kalashnikovs, rifle, pistol and several rounds were recovered from them. Rajanpur District Police Officer retired Capt Dost Muhammad said the operation was launched in a coordinated manner and police arrested four gangsters belonging to the Lund gang after an exchange of fire. It is pertinent to mention that more than 500 police personnel are deputed at the 15 pickets established by police in the Katcha area.
