Punjab Police ensured fool-proof security arrangements at mosques, Imambargahs and religious places for Juma Prayer gathering.

On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police ensured foolproof security arrangements of mosques, imambargahs and other religious places throughout the province for the gathering of Juma prayers. RPOs, DPOs supervised the security arrangements, the atmosphere of peace and law & order was maintained throughout the province including Lahore. The citizens offered Juma prayer in a peaceful environment and performed their routine chores of normal lives.
Earlier, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar had ordered to increase the security of mosques, imambargahs, important places, business centers across the province. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that in view of the current security situation, the police should be very vigilant, keep a close watch on the suspects, the teams of Dolphin Squad, Peru, Elite Force, Police Stations should conduct effective patrolling around places of worship, important places, cities. Full checking of suspicious persons and vehicles should be ensured at all entry and exit points of cities and province to keep a close eye on anti social elements, snipers stationed at elevated positions keep an vigilant eye on all the activities.
