Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that encouraging the hard working, capable and dutiful officers and officials is a good tradition of Punjab Police which aims to keep the entire force active with high morale for the best performance. IG Punjab awarded the officers and officials with rewards for their best performance and directed them to perform their duties more diligently and dutifully. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the officers and officials to work harder than before and said that priority measures should be continued to eliminate crimes and make public service delivery more easier. IG Punjab said that the supervisory officers should command the force effectively, make the intelligence information acquisition system more efficient for timely measure of crime eradication, similarly constabulary should perform their duties more diligently and speed up the process of eradication of organized crime. Dr. Usman Anwar said that intelligence-based operations should be accelerated to eradicate the menace of drugs, and the habitual criminals involved in organized crime should be put behind the bars and punished severely. IG Punjab expressed these views today while addressing the awarding ceremony of the officers and personnel at the Central Police Office.
A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to give cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to officers and personnel with the best performance, in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded prizes to the officers and personnel of various districts including Lahore. AIG Legal (HRC) Sheikh Asif Ali, Muhammad Saleem AIG Legal were awarded Certificates of Appreciation. IG Punjab awarded certificates of appreciation to DSPs Tanveer Amjad, Muhammad Imtiaz Ali, Shahid Nawaz Watto and Muhammad Farrukh Khan, awards and certificates of appreciation were given to officers of Legal, Investigation Operations Lahore Police, Dolphin Squad, Sheikhupura and Faisalabad region.Officers and personnel posted in various wings, including the Organized Crime Unit, were also among the recipients of awards. Additional IG Finance and Welfare Momuhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah and AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal were also present in the ceremony.
