After cochlear implant surgeries, these children of police officials are able to hear and are leading a normal life, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.

IG Punjab has released 75 lakh rupees for the cochlear implant surgery of the children of 05 more police employees.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met the special young children of the police officials who recovered from hearing problems after cochlear implant surgeries and their parents at the Central Police Office and inquired about post-surgery treatments. The parents of the children thanked the IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and said that after the cochlear implant surgeries, their kids are able to hear normally and now will pass their lives like other normal children. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the police welfare fund has been specially spent on the welfare of constables and their families and so far funds have been released for the cochlear implant surgeries of 13 children of police officers, three children have undergone surgeries, while the rest will be done in the next few days. IG Punjab has released another 75 lakh rupees for the cochlear implant surgery of the children of 5 more police constables.

According to the details, 15 lakh rupees were given for the cochlear implant surgery of Muhammad Lal Farid, son of Lahore Police Constable Ikram Ullah, and 15 lakh rupees were issued for the cochlear implant surgery of Constable Abdul Wahab's son Abdul Hadi. 15 lakh rupees was released for cochlear implant surgery of Amina Abdul Jabbar, daughter of constable Abdul Jabbar of Lodhran. 15 lakh rupees has been released for the cochlear implant surgery of Amina shahzadi, daughter of Faisalabad police constable Abdul Rehman, While 15 lakh rupees was released for the cochlear implant surgery of Nimra Ejaz, daughter of CTD Constable Mohammad Ejaz. The surgeries of all the five children will be done at Evercare Hospital under Punjab Police's MoU with Everclear Hospital.

IG Punjab said that the employees who are not able to get treatment for their kids are being provided assistance on priority basis and more measures will be taken in connection with health welfare.Additional IG Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin and AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal were also present on this occasion.
