On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a blood donation camp was organized in Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh in collaboration of Punjab Police with Noor Thalassemia Foundation, in which Punjab police personnel donated blood for the treatment of children affected by thalassemia. AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal said that the Punjab Police under the supervision of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has signed an MOU with Noor Thalassemia Foundation for the treatment of children affected by thalassemia and the blood donation camp was held under the same MOU. AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal further said that Noor Thalassemia Foundation is providing medical support to the thalassemia affected children of police personnel. More blood donation camps will also be organized in different districts of the province to provide all possible facilities for the treatment of thalassemia affected children.
