MUZAFFARGARH: Fatehpur police have busted a gang and arrested four of its members for employing honey trapping techniques to kidnap people. A Layyah police spokesman said the suspects used to trap the people during phone conversation and made explicit videos. Law enforcement authorities reported that the suspects targeted rich youngsters through girls and exacted extortion. Police said they called one Irfan to their hideout. There, they coerced him into a compromising situation, recorded explicit content, and demanded a ransom of Rs1.5 million. The victim said the gang had forced him into adultery and threatened to release the material if he did not comply with their demands. Fatehpur police arrested four suspects identified as Mushtaq, Kashif Shehzad, Naseem Bibi, and Razia Bibi, residents of 221 TDA. On the direction of Layyah DPO Asadul Rehman, a team managed to recover an amount of Rs1.1m from the ransom collected by the gang. Police have registered a case under sections 376, 511, 382, 384, and 292 of Pakistan Penal Code.
