Punjab Police ensured foolproof security arrangements for Christian worship places across the province on sunday

Punjab Police has set up Meesaq centres to solve the problems of minorities including the Christian community, on a priority basis, IG Punjab.
On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police ensured foolproof security arrangements across the province of christian worship places on Sunday. Punjab teams remained on high alert and performed duties in the Christian worship prayer program in the churches across the province, including Lahore. SPs and supervisory officers personally checked the security arrangements of churches and important places. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the officers to increase the security arrangements of the churches. He directed to depute additional police personnel, and snipers should be deployed at the sensitive churches, Dolphin Squad, PERU, and Elite teams should continue patrolling around the churches.The police officers and officials posted on duty remained on high alert and kept a close eye on the miscreants.IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that search and sweep operations should be continued around churches, christian communities and sensitive places. He directed that all scholars, christian community, members, and peace committees should promote inter-faith harmony. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Punjab Police has established Meesaq centres in all districts to solve the problems of minorities including the Christian community, on a priority basis.
