IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar made a surprise visit to 1787 Complaint Center
While inspecting the staff working, he reviewed the process of redressal of complaints received from across the province.
IG Punjab himself heard the complaints received from various districts via telephome. calls and issued orders on the spot for the quick redressal.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid a surprise visit to 1787 Complaint Center in Central Police Office, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar inspected the staff working in 1787 Center and reviewed the complaints received from all over the province and their redressal process. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar personally heard the complaints received from various districts via telephone call and issued orders on the spot for timely redressal. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that he is reviewing the working of 1787 Complaint Center, RPOs, DPOs should remain vigilant and their supervise timely resolution of all public complaints. He made clear that supervisory officers who cause delay in redressal of citizens' complaints will be removed from the field post.IG Punjab said that strict action is being taken against those responsible for delay in the registration of cases under zero tolerance, whereas officials guilty of wrong investigation also do not deserve sympathy, he should remain ready to face the accountability along with the supervisory officer.IG Punjab directed that the complaints of the citizens should be resolved within the stipulated timeline as per the SOPs. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the staff to perform their duties with more dedication and provide all possible relief to the citizens.
