27 POs, 172 CAs arrested
LAHORE–The City Police (Operations Wing) has arrested 27 proclaimed offenders (PAs) and 172 court absconders (CAs) during the past five days.
The spokesman said that the City Police also arrested 11 members of four gangs of dacoits and recovered illegal firearms from their possession.
He said the police arrested 71 drug pushers and recovered 3kg heroin, 16 kg charas and 371 bottles of liquor from their possession.
Likewise, police arrested 71 people on charges of possessing illegal firearms, 69 gamblers and more than 240 vehicles were also impounded during this special operation.
He said that 52 people were arrested on charges of wheeling, aerial firing, misuse of loudspeaker and others.
