Murder accused arrested
The Burki police on Tuesday arrested a murder accused Idrees who tried to flee from the Lahore High Court after cancellation of his bail.
Idrees had allegedly murdered his neighbor, a 75-year-old lady Naziran Bibi, over a minor dispute of constructing a drain. During the fight, Idress hit the lady with a hatchet and the latter died on the spot.
Idrees filed a bail application before the LHC after cancellation of the same by the trial court. On Tuesday, he tried to escape with the help of his family members but the deceased family foiled his attempt and the Burki police took him in custody.
