BAHAWALPUR: The Lodhran city police claim to have arrested the four men who had thrown acid on a woman lawyer at the doorstep of her house in Agha Khan Colony, Lodhran. Advocate Nausheen Sabahat had suffered serious acid burns on her face and other body parts and was admitted to Lodhran District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. According to Lodhran District Police Officer (DPO) Hissam Bin Iqbal, after registration of the FIR No 1970/23 under sections 336-B and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against the nominated suspects, the police swung into action and arrested Qazi Naeem, Shabeer,Qazi, Tanveer and Ansar. The suspects had allegedly targeted the woman lawyer for pleading property-related cases against them.
