Under the direction of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, proclaimed offender Tasawar Hussain, who fled to the United Arab Emirates, was arrested.
Tasawar Hussain, wanted by the Jhelum police in the murder case, had fled to the United Arab Emirates after the incident.
The total number of proclaimed offenders arrested from abroad this year has increased to 114.
On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the crackdown against the absconding proclaimed offender’s suspects abroad is continuing without interruption, in continuation of which the Punjab Police has arrested the proclaimed offender Tasawar Hussain, who escaped to the United Arab Emirates after the murder.
According to the spokesperson of the Punjab Police, Tasawar Hussain, the proclaimed offender wanted by the Jhelum Police in the murder case, had fled to the United Arab Emirates after the incident. The Punjab Police issued a red notice from Interpol for the arrest and return of Tasawar Hussain, continued to pursue him, and finally arrested him. Further legal action is being taken against the accused Tasawar Hussain.
The spokesperson of Punjab Police said that the circle around the proclaimed offenders involved in murder, robbery, kidnapping for ransom, and other serious crimes has been further tightened, and the total number of proclaimed offenders arrested from abroad this year has increased to 114. These proclaimed offenders have been arrested in America, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Europe, Africa, and Gulf countries and brought to Pakistan.
IG Punjab congratulated the police team for arresting the A-category proclaimed offender and directed them to intensify the crackdown. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that efforts should be intensified to arrest the proclaimed offenders through close contact with the plaintiffs and effective follow-up. IG Punjab directed that the maximum number of proclaimed offenders should be arrested by improving coordination with relevant agencies, including FIA and Interpol.
