Central Police Office: The families of 35 more pre-2017 martyrs have been provided plots for the construction of houses.
The IG Punjab gave the ownership papers of the plots to the families of the police martyrs of the Gujranwala region in a ceremony held at the CPO.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken historic steps for the welfare of the families of the martyred policemen. In continuation of which, in a ceremony held at the Central Police Office, the families of 35 more martyrs before 2017 were provided plots for the construction of houses. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar gave the ownership papers of the plots to the heirs of 35 martyrs of Gujranwala, Gujarat, Mandi Bahauddin, and Sialkot Police for the construction of personal houses. Taking to the heirs of the martyrs in the ceremony, IG Punjab said that we have not forgotten our martyrs; we are with their families at every step. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, further said that the families of martyrs are being given plots in residential schemes equipped with all facilities with the support of good and generous people. So far, 369 plots have been arranged for the families of martyrs before 2017 to build their houses.
IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, further said that 50 lakhs have been given in installments from the endowment fund to the families of the martyrs for the construction of houses on the plots. We will provide all possible support to the families of martyrs for the construction of houses.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that various districts, including Lahore, are gradually providing plots for the construction of houses for the families of all martyrs before 2017. Nothing is an alternative to the immortal sacrifice of the martyr, and welfare measures will reduce the difficulties of the families.
IG Punjab said that they are making arrangements to provide plots for the construction of houses to the families of all the remaining martyrs. The department will take all possible steps to build houses for the heirs of these martyrs from its own resources.
Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Choudhary, Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, RPO Gujranwala Dr. Haider Ashraf, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, and DIG IT Ahsan Younas attended the event. The heirs of the martyrs thanked IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar for the historic steps.
