IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar's visited Punjab Institute of Mental Health for the treatment of psychological disorders.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Punjab Institute of Mental Health for the treatment of psychological disorders and met with under-treatment Constable Shahid Zohaib, his mother, and doctors.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar hugged Constable Shahid and expressed good wishes for a speedy recovery. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar had a detailed discussion with psychiatrist Dr. Asad about the treatment process for Constable Shahid. In his message, IG Punjab stated that making fun of someone's illness, accusing them; creating memes are synonymous with mistreatment of the patient and their family.
IG Punjab further said that bipolar disorder is a curable disease, instead of making such a patient a part of memes war, pray for his recovery. Constable Shahid's treatment is under the supervision of the best psychiatrists and he is recovering rapidly, IG Punjab revealed that claiming to keep Constable Shahid in lockup is incorrect and contrary to the facts, Dr. Asad DMS stated that Constable Shahid has been placed in a separate ward at Punjab Institute of Mental Health to prevent harm to himself or other patients.
Upon improvement, Constable Shahid will soon be shifted from the room to the ward, after further improvement, he will be discharged with medications. Dr. Asad DMS further mentioned that under appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and supervision of mental health experts, Constable Shahid will return to a normal life.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Punjab Police has set up police tahaffuz centers across the province to help the citizens suffering from such problems, consider a person suffering from such a situation in your family, surroundings and relatives as a patient, assist in his treatment, IG Punjab further said to report such patients to the nearest police tahaffuz center so that they can get proper treatment.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that these people will reach the relevant doctors from the police protection center where their treatment will begin. The Punjab Police will provide all possible support and assistance to the medical experts in the treatment of such persons.
