IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar's good initiative for the welfare of Sub Inspectors and ASIs
IG Punjab has revised the on-promotion transfer quota in Elite, Investigation, Training Directorate.
The shortage of personnel in Elite, Investigation, Training Directorate will be filled from the respective districts, IG Punjab.
About 550 junior rank officers including 200 sub-inspectors and 350 ASIs will benefit from this initiative every year, IG Punjab.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken another good step for the welfare of sub-inspectors and ASIs under which junior rank officers will get rid of posting away from local districts on promotion. IG Punjab has revised the transfer quota on annual basis to meet the shortage of personnel in the Elite, Investigation, Training Directorate, according to which the shortage of personnel in the Elite, Investigation, Training Directorate should be met from the respective districts. 550 sub-inspectors and ASIs transferred from local districts after promotion will benefit from this special initiative of IG Punjab. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar ordered to send the personnel in Investigation and Elite only from Lahore and said that the personnel of these two units would be completed from Lahore because the station headquarters of these units are only in Lahore. He ordered to the training directorate to fulfill their nufree only from 05 regions where training stations are available and no transfer from other districts. IG Punjab said that about 550 junior rank officers including 200 sub-inspectors and 350 ASIs will benefit every year from this initiative.
Spokesman Punjab Police said that junior rank officers will get posting in their respective units of the region after promotion, earlier the officers transferred in the above mentioned units had to go for posting away from their home town. Resultantly, the officers used different means for cancellation of their transfer and change of units. Spokesperson Punjab Police further said that the sharing quota of the above mentioned units has been revised to alleviate the suffering of the junior rank officers and on the instructions of IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, DIG Establishment Dr Inam Waheed Khan has also issued a notification. It has been sent to the concerned supervisory officers.
