Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has congratulated the entire Pakistani nation and police force on the Independence Day of the dear country. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said in his special message that it is the day of renewing the pledge not to hesitate to make any great sacrifice for the security, progress and prosperity of the land of Pakistan. Reiterating the determination of protection, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that every soldier, officer and Jawan of Punjab Police would not hesitate to sacrifice his life for the country and the nation. He said that more than 1600 martyrdoms of Punjab police in the line of duty are a sign of undying love for the country and no sacrifice would be spared in the future to protect the life and property of the citizens.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that 140,000 police officers and personnel are on high alert throughout the province, including Lahore, on Independence Day celebrations, at sensitive points including public places. The IG Punjab further said that monitoring of the Independence Day celebrations is ongoing with 11 lakh CCTV cameras in Lahore and more than 22 lakh CCTV cameras across the province and fool-proof security is being provided to all the celebrations. IG Punjab said that the citizens should not leave the national dignity and civilization while celebrating the joy of independence, strict action would be taken against one-wheeling, aerial firing, hooliganism, and harassment of women and families.
