A comprehensive strategy should be chalked out immediately to control the rising crime in Lahore so that the lives and properties of the people could be secured. This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Javed Iqbal while talking at a high level meeting held at PHQ here today after taking serious notice of the rising crime situation in Lahore. CCPO Lahore Ahmad Raza Tahir, DIG Operations Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar and SP Sadar Shoaib Khurram, SP Investigation City Rana Shuja, SP Civil Lines Umer Saeed Malik, SP Model Town Owais Ahmad and SP Cantt Khasmat Kamal of Lahore city also attended the meeting.
IGP directed the CCPO Lahore to immediately set an emergency plan for controlling the crimes like, robbery, dacoity, dacoity cum murder, mobile snatching, car lifting in Lahore. CCPO to deal with criminals ruthlessly, without any discrimination and pressure so that law & order could be maintained at any cost, added the IGP.
He also directed the CCPO Lahore to brief the IGP about the crime situation and the safety measures being adopted by him on weekly basis.
