IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar fulfilled his promise to the heirs of Police Shuhada who were martyred before 2017
IG Punjab has started financial support from the endowment fund established for the welfare of the heirs of police martyrs.
The first installment of half a million rupees per person was given by cheques to five families selected by lottery.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar fulfilled his promise to the heirs of police Shuhada who were martyred before 2017. A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to distribute cheques to the heirs of five police martyrs before 2017 for the construction of houses, in which five families selected by lottery were given the first installment of rupees half a million rupees.
The heirs of martyred Police officials of Inspector Shabib Abbas Naqvi, ASI Muhammad Amin, Head Constable Abdul Rauf, Head Constable Khalid Mehmood, Constable Muhammad Athar Shaheed participated in the ceremony. IG Punjab said that the foundation stone has been laid for the provision of private roofs to the heirs of the police martyrs.
An amount of rupees five lacs will be paid to the five families in monthly installments for the construction expenses. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the concerned DPOs will monitor the construction of the houses of the families of the martyrs and provide all possible support. Funds are being provided to the families of all the martyrs before 2017 for the construction of private houses in a phased manner. Possible action is being ensured.
