On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the next phase of promotions is going on in all the regions and districts of the province. Among those promoted are 61 ASIs and 50 head constables.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that 7000 more promotions are being completed rapidly on vacant posts in all districts and regions including Lahore. In the promotion board meeting of Bahawalpur region; 111 officials were approved for promotion, 61 ASIs were promoted to sub-inspectors and 50 head constables were promoted to the rank of ASIs. Among those promoted are the officers and officials of Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur districts of Bahawalpur region.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted officers and officials and expressed good wishes for the future. IG Punjab said that the purpose of these promotions given according to merit and seniority is to raise the morale of the force. All officers and personnel eligible for promotion from Head Constable to DSP rank are being given their right without delay.
Dr. Usman Anwar further said that departmental promotions will continue regularly in other regions and districts including Lahore.
