A delegation of Legal Aid and Justice Authority (LAJA) led by Director General Dr. Muhammad Rahim Awan from the Ministry of Human Rights Islamabad visited the Central Police Office.
The three member delegation met the Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan. Additional IG Training Tariq Rustam Chauhan, AIG Training Faisal Mukhtar were also present on the occasion. During the meeting, the matters related to mutual and professional interests related to ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) training were discussed in detail.
It was agreed upon to provide legal assistance to ensure provision of justice to poor and socially insecure citizens. A framework was considered to provide all the possible assistance and guidance to the citizens in legal, financial and other matters. Additional IG Operations Shahzad Sultan said that ADR training will be provided to the police officers to ensure easy access to justice to the citizens.
