5 members of two gangs arrested
LAHORE–Five members of two notorious gangs involved in more than 60 felony acts have been arrested by the Kot Lakhpat and Nishtar Colony police, sources said on Wednesday. They were identified as ringleader Mohsin Raza alias Mahsood and accomplices Ali Raza and Ghulam Ali alias Gulo.
All those arrested are the alleged associates of the Mahsood Dacoit gang. The Kot Lakhpat police claimed that stolen cell phones, cash, automatic and sophisticated weapons and other valuables were recovered from them. Similarly, two accused persons, namely Zeshan alias Chando and Rafaqat have been arrested by the Nishtar Colony police. Another accomplice of them, namely Samuel has managed to flee.
During the preliminary interrogation, the dacoits have confessed to committing several crimes in different police precincts in the last couple of months. DIG (Operations) GM Dogar has announced commendatory certificates and cash prizes for Model Town SP Masood Maroof Wahla and his cops.
Meanwhile, the Raiwind Welfare Society, Al-Haq Foundation, Koshish Welfare Society, Al-Sheikh Foundation, Central Anjuman Tajiran and other social organisations have appreciated the performance of the Raiwind City police. The office bearers, including Muhammad Younas Ansari, Dr. Naeem Ahmed Chughtai, Muhammad Iqbal Khan Manj, Ahmed Sheikh and Shafqat Ali Sherazi, have expressed their confidence in Saddar Division SP Shoaib Khurram Janbaz-led Raiwind police.
