7,931 complaints submitted to CCPO in 2011
LAHORE: ABOUT 7931 complaints were submitted by the public to the CCPO Office during the year 2011.
Around 610 cases out of 7931 complaints were registered against the accused while in 2159 complaints citizens were provided justice and redress.
In 339 complaints, there was mutual reconciliation between the two parties, in 51 complaints investigation was changed while 546 complaints were out of lawful jurisdiction of the police. Similarly, 1479 complaints were not followed by complainants, 218 complaints could not be processed due to incomplete or wrong address whereas in 324 complaints, cases were rejected, 1318 complaints proved to be baseless.
