The spokesperson of the Punjab Police has given a stance regarding the dialogue of the anchor person Shahzad Iqbal with the caretaker Information Minister of Punjab Aamir Mir in the Naya Pakistan program of a private TV channel (Geo News) and said that the Punjab Police has not registered any case against PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry in Multan for broken tap theft case. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that anchor Shahzad Iqbal has implicated PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry in the case of broken tap theft in police station Cantt, Multan. The claim and allegation are absurd and contrary to facts. During the investigation of Punjab Police, the allegation of journalist Shehzad Iqbal has been proved to be a lie. Spokesperson Punjab Police said FIR No. 889/23 registered in police station Cantt Multan and its addendum pointed out by the anchor does not mention Fawad Chaudhry anywhere, all details including FIR and addendums (Zimni) as evidence have been made available for everyone to see and read. Spokesperson of Punjab Police said that the respected journalist is requested to avoid analyzing the facts without investigating and to adhere to journalistic values.
