This was stated by the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Javed Iqabal, while presiding over Regional Police Officers conference held at Police Headquarters, Punjab, Lahore, here today.
CCPO Lahore, Mohammad Aslam Tareen, RPO Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sheikhpura, Gujranwala, Sahewal, Sargodha, D.G Khan and Bahawalpur also attended the conference.
The Police Chief directed the Regional Police Officers to take strict disciplinary and legal action against those who were involved in corruption and use negative tactics in lodging the public complaints in their respective areas. He also directed the CCPO, Lhr and all Region Police Heads to immediately arrest the accused of the heinous crimes like kidnapping, dacoities and murders.
Javed Iqbal further stressed upon the RPOs to expedite the investigation of all cases of terrorism. At the end all RPOs briefed the IGP about the crime situation from 1st Jan to March 31, 2011.
