On the instructions of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, funds have been released for the purchase of new uniforms and shoes for the police force.
31 crore 89 lakh 51 thousand 715 rupees were released for purchase of new uniforms and shoes of various field formations.
Approval of 05 crore 48 lakh 36 thousand rupees for the purchase of 12 thousand 213 new uniforms of Punjab Highway Patrol.
03 crore 20 lakh 96 thousand rupees was approved for the purchase of 6800 new uniforms of Special Protection Unit jawans.
02 crore 89 lakh 92 thousand rupees has been released for the purchase of 03 thousand 876 Joggers of Anti-Riot and elite police forces.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has approved the release of funds for the purchase of new uniforms and shoes for various field formations of the police. According to the details, after the approval of IG Punjab, the process of purchasing new uniforms and joggers shoes for the use of Punjab Highway Patrol, Special Protection Unit, Anti-Riot Force, Dolphin Squad and Traffic Police personnel has been started. A total of 31 crore 89 lakh 51 thousand 715 rupees has been released for the purchase of new uniforms and shoes for field formations of the police force. Similarly,
05 crore 48 lakh 36 thousand rupees has been approved for the purchase of 12 thousand 213 new uniforms of Punjab Highway Patrol Police. 03 crore 20 lakh 96 thousand rupees have been approved for the purchase of 6800 new uniforms of Special Protection Unit personnel. Moreover, 02 crore 89 lakh and 92 thousand rupees for the purchase of 03 thousand 876 pairs of joggers for Anti-Riot force and Elite Police Force (EPF) personnel. Dr. Usman Anwar approved 01 crore 32 lakh 10 thousand rupees for the purchase of 02 thousand 650 pairs of shoes for Traffic Wardens and PC (PC) jawans. In addition to it, 05 crore 42 lakh 08 thousand rupees was sanctioned for the purchase of desert shoes for the force Elite and Special protection unit personnel. IG Punjab sanctioned Rs.01 crore 37 lakh 61 thousand rupees for the purchase of 1475 pairs of shoes for the Dolphin Squad whereas Dr. Usman Anwar sanctioned Rs.12 crore 18 lac and 46 thousand for purchase of 13516 pairs of boots for the Punjab Police Force. IG Punjab said that the new uniforms and shoes received from the companies would be provided to the force at the earliest as per the schedule.
