In operations of Raheem Yar Khan Police , Three dacoits were killed, 28 arrested and five surrendered. A large number of dangerous weapons were recovered.

As per directions of IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, Police teams are undergoing operation against criminal elements and gangs in Katcha areas of Raheem Yar Khan and Rajanpur. Majority area of Katcha have been cleared of dacoits by police in the operation which is underway from 36 days. In the operation of Rahim Yar Khan police, three dacoits were killed, twenty-eight arrested and five surrendered. Heavy weapons were recovered while several of the dangerous criminals and hideouts have been permanently removed. Schools and dispensaries have been set up at Katani Chak Charagh Shah, an area cleared by RPO Bahawalpur under the direction of IG Punjab, where free emergency medicines and basic education are being provided to the citizens.
According to the details, Punjab Police has set up schools and dispensaries for the residents of Katcha. In the schools, Punjab Police personnel are serving as teachers whereas medically trained staff of Punjab police has been deployed in the dispensaries. Free medical facilities are being provided to residents of Katcha especially elderly persons and children. Police have set up schools and dispensaries in makeshift tents due to absence of buildings and infrastructure. Books and other needs are being provided free of cost to the children coming to the police schools, while various emergency medicines and first aid facilities are being provided free of charge by the Punjab Police. The public has enrolled a large number of children in the police school for education. Punjab Police Spokesperson told that people of Katcha are very excited and happy for establishing schools and dispensary. The people of Katcha have paid tribute to IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, RPO Bahawalpur Rai Babar Saeed, DPO Rahim Yar Khan Rizwan Omar Gondal and the local team for launching welfare projects for the people. Punjab Police, led by IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, have cleared majority area of Katcha from dacoits and have opened the doors of peace, security, education and health to the people. The fruitful results of the operation are beginning to have a positive impact on the lives of the common man. With the establishment of school and dispensary in Katcha, future of children and health matters will get improved.
