IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited the Services Hospital in the wee hours of the morning, inquired about officers and personnel who were injured due to stone pelting and violence by the angry protestors.
On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar actions are being taken against the miscreants and law-breaking elements involved in riots and violent activities across Punjab.. Police teams are conducting operations to get the law breachers under grip of law who are involved in attacks, vandalism and burning on government properties. According to the details, the police teams arrested more than 435 miscreants after which the number of law-breakers arrested from different districts rose to 1380. Moreover, with the help of CCTV recordings and video footages, a careful review is being taken to identify and arrest miscreants. The Spokesperson of Punjab Police said that all the records of miscreants and law-breakers are being entered into their character certificates, because of criminal records, the miscreants would not be able to get jobs and visas to foreign countries. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that due to the details mentioned in the character certificate, miscreants/ law breachers wouldn't be able to apply for immigration and seek admission in foreign educational institutions. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that the miscreants who attacked government property, police force and law enforcement agencies do not deserve any sympathy and all the miscreants would be punished.

Protesters attacked more than 14 government buildings, looted and caused serious damage to government property, IG Punjab said that strict legal action would be taken against those who challenged writ of the state. IG Punjab vowed that the miscreants who injured the police officers and personnel and caused damage to government properties would be brought to justice.
In addition, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Services Hospital in the early morning of Wednesday and inquired about the officers and personnel under treatment in the hospital who got injured due to stone pelting and violence by angry protesters. Senior police officers were with him.
IG Punjab inquired about well being of DIG Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi. Dr. Usman Anwar inquired about all the injured officers and personnel one on one including DSP, SHOs under treatment. While praying for their speedy recovery, Dr. Usman Anwar directed doctors to provide the best treatment facilities to the officers and officials under treatment. IG Punjab said that he salutes the brave and dutiful officers and officials who did not care about their lives while protecting the lives and properties of the citizens. Dr. Usman Anwar said that strict legal action would be taken against the miscreants who challenged the rule of law and writ of the state.
