When the chief of Punjab police took charge, there were 03 crore 82 lakh, 47 thousand 500 rupees in the secret fund. Dr. Usman Anwar
8 lakh rupees were given at the beginning of Katcha Operation Rahim Yar Khan and 5 lakh rupees were given to SSP Investigation Lahore for a special project. IG Punjab.

After the above expenses, the remaining amount of Rs. 03 crore 34 lacs 03 thousand and 880 is present in secret fund account.
There is no accountability for the secret fund provided by the government, but the current police leadership has not kept this fund secret. Dr. Usman Anwar
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued an important message to the force and the public regarding the use of Police Secret Fund. IG Punjab said that the Punjab Police is actively working to eradicate the most dangerous terrorists, dacoits, robbers and anti-social elements. He said that there was no accountability of this secret fund provided by the government, however current police leadership has not kept this fund secret. Dr. Usman Anwar said that all the records of the funds used are presented in the Police Executive Board meeting every week. IG Punjab said that when I took charge of Punjab Police Chief, there were 03 crore 82 lakh, 47 thousand 500 rupees in the secret fund. Out of this fund, Rs.8 lakh rupees were given for commencing Katcha Operation Rahim Yar Khan, Rs.05 lakh was given to SSP Investigation Lahore for a special project, Rs. 5 lac 18 thousand 620 rupees were spent.l for sensitive installations and safety of lives and properties of the citizens. Likewise, 18 lakh 25 thousand rupees were given to the personnel of Operations and Investigations wings. A very dangerous gang was eliminated by giving 02 lac rupees to the CIA Lahore. Moreover, 10 lac rupees more were spent for Katcha Operation. After the above expenses, the remaining amount of 03 crore 34 lakh 03 thousand 880 rupees is in available the secret fund account. IG Punjab said that the remaining secret fund would be utilized for the operational expenses of wiping out hardened criminals and terrorists. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the account of all money in the secret fund would be presented to the public in the executive board meeting held every week. IG Punjab said that it is our responsibility to account for every rupee received from the government for which we are ready.
