IG Punjab formed a committee under the chairmanship of Additional IG Welfare and Finance to create a separate cadre of players of Punjab Police.
3 lakhs will be given to the gold medal winner in individual competitions, 2 lakhs to the silver medalists and 1 lakh to the bronze medalists along with CC1.

147 officers and personnel were distributed cash prizes of around 37 lac rupees and commendation certificates.
The recipients of awards include 10 inspectors, 28 sub-inspectors, 15 ASIs, 3 head constables and 89 constables.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met the players of police force participating in the 24th National Games Quetta and encouraged them to practice hard for the best results. Police athletes are participating in police athletics, body building, boxing, judo karate, taekwondo and hockey among other sports in the National Games held from May 22 to 30. Speaking to the players, IG Punjab said that they should develop their dedication to win and play hard to bring glory to the country and the department. IG Punjab said that the representation of police in sports events around the world including Pakistan is important and Punjab Police patronizes and supports athletes for the promotion of sports. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the problems of players of Punjab Police are being solved gradually, all problems and issues including transport, TAD, holidays will be solved on priority basis. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the SOPs for the responsibilities of sports patrons have been approved and the selection process of the players will be done by their patron supervisors. He directed to sign and MOU with Gym for fitness of players in every district.
He said that an automated system is being created to resolve the issues of the players. Dr. Usman Anwar formed a committee under the chairmanship of Additional IG Welfare and Finance to form a separate cadre of players of Punjab Police. He said that in these national games, in individual competitions the gold medal winner would be given 3 lac rupees and silver medal winner will be given 2 lac rupees whereas 1 lac rupees would be awarded to bronze medal winner along with CCI. Moreover, each player of the winning teams would be given 50,000 and CC1 each and 25,000 each player would be given to the players of the second and third teams. IG Punjab also announced to give 5 lakhs to the gold medalist in the Olympic Games, 3 lakhs to the silver medalist and 1.5 lakh to the bronze medalist. Additional IG Welfare and Finance Riaz Nazir Gara, DIG Logistics Athar Ismail Amjad and other officers including AIG Logistics Ismail Kharak were also present on the occasion.
In addition, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar continues to encourage the officers and employees for their excellent performance during duty and in this regard, in the ceremony organized at the Central Police Office, 147 officers and employees received cash reward of about 37 lakh rupees along with commendation certificates. 147 officers and personnel of Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Gujranwala region and Special Protection Unit were among the recipients of the prizes. DSP City Sahiwal and SDPO Sadar Sahiwal Muhammad Asif were given certificates of appreciation while awardees included 10 qinspectors, 28 sub-inspectors, 15 ASIs, 3 head constables and 89 constables. Inspectors were given 50 thousand rupees each , sub-inspectors 40 thousand each , ASIs 35 thousand rupees each , head constables 30 thousand each while constables were given 25,000 per person, 51 officials of the Special Protection Unit serving in major cities of the province were given 10,000 per person. IG Punjab gave Shabash to the officers and officials who received the awards and directed them to work harder than before. Dr. Usman Anwar said that to protect the life and property of the citizens and to eradicate crimes, perform the duties with more sincerity and dutifulness and convey this respect received from the department to the citizens with more responsible performance and best services. Dr. Usman Anwar urged to speed up the crackdown against dacoits, bandits, drug dealers, and proclaimed offenders to speed up the process of eradicating crimes.
