The delegation from Civil Services Academy Lahore included 36 probationary officers and faculty members including 10 women.
DIGs Operations, IT and Establishment briefed the delegation about modern services, crime control measures of Punjab Police.
IT-based policing has been promoted to provide services to citizens and eradicate crime.  IG Punjab

The probationary officers of 46th Specialized Training Program of  Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) paid a study tour to CPO and were apprised  about the law and order situation,  suppression of crimes and the facilities provided by the police to the citizens across province.  The delegation from Civil Services Academy Lahore included 36 probationary officers and faculty members, including 10 women, who were briefed by DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir, DIG IT Ahsan Younis and DIG Establishment Dr. Inam Waheed about modern services of Punjab Police and crime control measures.    The participants were briefed about the operational procedures of Punjab Police including Public Service Delivery Projects and Specialized Forces.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar briefed the probationary officers about the challenges faced by the Punjab Police and the goals achieved as a result of ongoing measures to wipe out crime. IG Punjab said that   IT-based policing is being promoted for provision of facilities to citizens, establishing law and order and eliminating crimes. He said that working of all police stations and police offices of the province has been fully digitized with the help of modern software.  Dr. Usman Anwar said that the free registration of FIR, open door policy for citizens has been accelerated. Similarly, crackdown against proclaimed offenders inside country and abroad has been expedited with the help of Interpol and FIA. Dr. Usman Anwar said that historical measures have been taken for health welfare of police force in line with the Cuban model. Whereas priority measures are underway for the departmental promotions and enhancing capacity building of staff by utilizing all available resources.   IG Punjab, while answering the questions of the probationer officers, said that mutual cooperation of government institutions is the need of the hour for solving public problems in a timely manner, so all the institutions should speed up joint measures to provide services to the citizens and resolution of their problems.  The probationary officers also asked various questions about the working of Punjab Police, the resources available and the challenges faced by the force. At the end of the visit, commemorative souvenirs were also exchanged between IG Punjab and the head of the delegation of probationary officers.  Senior officers including AIG Training Faisal Mukhtar and AIG Amara Athar were also present on this occasion.
