IG Punjab also participated in the funeral prayer of Shaheed Constable Naveed Hanif, laid floral wreath on the body of the martyr and paid tribute.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers along with jawans at District Police Lines Qila Gujar Singh. After the Eid prayer, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar celebrated Eid with the force in Police Lines and mingled with the jawans. IG Punjab also reached at memorials of police martyrs in district police lines. CCPO DIG Bilal Siddique Kamiana was with him on this occasion. The squad of police presented a guard of honor to IG Punjab. He recited Fatiha for highest ranks of martyrs and also paid salutations to them. IG Punjab also participated in a big meal with the police jawans. Additional IG Waseem Sial, CCPO Lahore Additional IG Bilal Siddique Kamiyana, Additional IGs, DIG Operations Afzal Ahmed Kausar, CTO Mustansar Feroze, SSPs, retired and serving senior police officers including SPs and a large number of police personnel offered Eid prayers.
After the Eid prayer, IG Punjab also attended the funeral prayer of martyred Constable Naveed Hanif of Lahore Police at District Police Lines Qila Gujar Singh. IG Punjab Usman Anwar, CCPO, senior police officers recited Fatiha for the martyr's soul. The squad of the police presented a guard of honor to the casket of the martyr. IG Punjab Usman Anwar, CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamiyana placed floral wreaths on the body of the martyr, IG Punjab met the relatives of the martyr and paid tribute to the eternal sacrifice of martyr Constable Naveed Hanif, IG Punjab assured full care to the martyr's relatives. He said that martyred Constable Naveed Hanif's eternal sacrifice will never be forgotten. He said that I am the head of a force which has always made great sacrifices for the security of the country and the nation. He avowed that family of martyr constable will be taken care of at every level.
Constable Naveed Hanif was martyred by unknown dacoits on April 21. Constable Naveed Hanif was posted in Manawan police station. Constable Naveed Hanif joined the police force in 2010. Martyred constable left mother, brother, wife and one daughter among the bereaved.
