Elections of former Inspectors General of Police Punjab Chapter held at Police Club Lahore.
Khawaja Khalid Farooq was unanimously elected by House as the President of the former IGs Punjab Chapter.
Tahseen Anwar Shah General Secretary, Shaukat Hayat, Parvez Rahim Rajput, Sarmad Saeed Khan, Ghalib Ali Bandisha and Amjad Javed Salimi were elected members in the 6 member executive committee.
Elections of All former Inspectors General of Police Punjab Chapter were held at the Police Club in which around 30 former IGs of Police participated. Former President of AFIGP Punjab Chapter Shaukat Javed briefed the House about the initiatives taken in the last 3 years. Shaukat Javed proposed the name of Khawaja Khalid Farooq as President for the next term which was unanimously approved by the House. In the six-member executive committee, Tahsin Anwar Shah was elected as the general secretary while Shaukat Hayat, Parvez Rahim Rajput, Sarmad Saeed Khan, Ghalib Ali Bandisha and Amjad Javed Salimi were elected as members.
Newly elected President Khawaja Khalid Farooq while informing the House about the future action plan of All Former Inspectors General of Police Punjab Chapter said that Punjab Chapter will continue to play its effective role to strengthen the rule of law as per the instructions of Constitution of Pakistan. In the light of the report of the Justice Reform Committee in the Law and Justice Commission, effective measures will be taken for police reforms. Priority measures will be continued for the welfare of former IGs and their families. Good initiatives of Punjab Police and public service delivery projects will be fully supported. The election meeting ended with Iftar dinner.
