Arrests of fugitive proclaimed offenders involved in the most serious cases has been speeded up.
Two more dangerous proclaimed offenders were arrested from the state of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates
Naveed Ahmed proclaimed offender of Lahore Police and Irfan Ali proclaimed offenderof Toba Tek Singh Police were arrested from Dubai.
In the crackdown that started on January 24, 33 dangerous proclaimed offenders have been arrested and imprisoned so far.

On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the crackdown is continuing uninterruptedly against the proclaimed offenders who have committed serious crimes and fled abroad, and in this regard, the Punjab Police teams have arrested two hardened proclaimed offenders from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In the crackdown that started on January 24, 33 dangerous proclaimed offenders have been arrested and imprisoned from other countries including the United States, Great Britain, Gulf countries, South Africa and Greece. According to the details, the police teams have arrested both the proclaimed offenders from Dubai and reached Lahore. Legal actions are being taken against the arrested proclaimed offenders namely Naveed Ahmad wanted to Lahore police in murder case whereas Irfan Ali wanted to Kamalia Toba Tek Singh Police.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while congratulating the teams that arrested the proclaimed offenders and brought them to Pakistan directed to continue the process of arresting the fugitive proclaimed offenders abroad and issue other alerts including red notices with the cooperation of Interpol and FIA so that circle around the proclaimed offenders may be tightened further. Dr. Usman Anwar said that accused involved in criminal cases such as murder, dacoity, kidnapping for ransom, robbery and serious crimes do not deserve any sympathy, so the passports of these dangerous proclaimed offenders should be canceled and they should be arrested at the earliest. IG Punjab emphasised that such criminals should be meted out severe punishments after getting them convicted by courts.
