The performance of the IGP Complaint Center 1787 established in the Central Police Office for redressal of complaints received by the citizens has been commendable in the year 2022. According to the details, 94 percent of the complaints received at IG Punjab Complaint Center 1787 were resolved in the year 2022, the remaining 6 percent of the complaints are in the final stages of completion. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that the performance of IG Complaint Center 1787 has been better this year than before, 120,887 complaints were resolved out of the total complaints received this year, while only 8,000 complaints are in the final stages of completion which will be resolved very quickly. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that citizens directly apply to the IG Punjab for solving all their problems at the IG Complaint Center 1787, on which immediate action is taken.
The spokesperson of Punjab Police said that this year 23718 complaints were resolved from provincial capital Lahore, 10600 complaints were resolved from Sheikhupura region, 16405 complaints were resolved from Gujranwala region, 15762 complaints were resolved from Faisalabad region, 12653 complaints were resolved from Multan region. 11256 complaints were resolved from Bahawalpur region. 8978 complaints were resolved from Sahiwal region while 7495 complaints were resolved from Rawalpindi region. 7257 complaints were resolved from DG Khan region while 5743 complaints were resolved from Sargodha region. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that the complaints received by the citizens are being resolved within the prescribed timeline as per the SOPs and they are not filed to office until the citizen is satisfied with the legal action taken on his complaint. . The Spokesperson Punjab Police further said that monitoring and supervision of 1787 IGP Complaint Center is ensured regularly and weekly performance of the Complaint Center is presented to senior command. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that citizens can register their complaints through 1787 and online complaint management system, whereas apart from call and SMS, they can also send their complaints through email, Khuli Katchehri and by post to 1787 IGP Complaint Center.
