Acting Inspector General of Police Punjab Kunwar Shahrukh has congratulated the Kasur Police for arresting the brutal accused while tracing the rape case. Acting IG Punjab said that callous accused involved in sexual violence against children and women do not deserve any exemption, so the investigation stages should be completed as soon as possible and the accused should be punished.Acting IG Punjab directed that zero tolerance policy should be continued on incidents of violence, rape and abduction of women and children and no effort should be spared to arrest the accused for ensuring provision of justice to the victims. Acting IG Punjab directed that the problems of the citizens coming to the police stations and police offices should be resolved without delay and the officers and officials should strengthen the positive image of the police by their good behavior, courteousness and professionalism. He directed that protecting the life and property of the citizens along with maintaining law and order in the society is the basic duty of the police. He expressed these views today while addressing the officers and personnel on the occasion of the Super Model Police Station B Division Kasur visit.
On his arrival in Kasur, the armed police squad paid salutations to Acting IG Punjab Kunwar Shahrukh. Acting IG visited various sections of the police station and addressed the staff. Acting IG reviewed the facilities provided to the citizens. Acting IG Punjab inquired about their problems from the citizens who came to the police station. Earlier, Acting IG Punjab Kunwar Shahrukh visited DPO office. RPO Sheikhupura briefed the Acting IG about the crime and law and order situation in the region. DPO Kasur, while briefing the Acting IG Punjab, said that the main accused of the Patuki rape case, Shan alias Shani, has been arrested after 5 months of continuous efforts. On 26th May, dacoits raped a 14-year-old girl during robbery. Kasur police conducted DNA of 230 people in this case while 598 suspicious people were investigated. Acting IG Punjab Kunwar Shahrukh while congratulating the concerned police team directed DPO Kasur to complete the investigation under his supervision as soon as possible and punish the accused.
