LAHORE: Police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested a notorious ‘shooter and three drug suppliers’ who had come from Karachi.The arrests came on an information that the alleged shooter, Wasi Iqbal, and the drug dealers had reached Lahore from Karachi some days back.
Model Town Operations SP Hassan Javed Bhatti told Dawn the police first arrested the drug dealers from a hotel in Gulberg. During interrogation, they informed the police about the presence of the shooter who was involved in 19 murder cases. He said the police teams arrested Wasi from his hideout.The SP said the police had lodged cases against them, and further investigation was under way.
